U.S. consumers would be more likely to accept genetically modified organisms or nanotechnology in foods if there were health or safety benefits, a study from researchers at North Carolina State University and the University of Minnesota has found.

Published online in the Journal of Agricultural Economics, researchers surveyed 1,117 U.S. consumers for the study, asking an array of questions that explored their willingness to purchase foods that contained GM tech and foods that contained nanotech.
