A group that dedicates itself to conjoining people with the pressing policy issues that affect them is being targeted by the world’s most evil corporation for daring to spread the truth about the toxicity of glyphosate, a highly pervasive crop chemical that’s commonly sprayed on genetically-modified (GM) crops.
Tennessee has become the fourth state to impose restrictions on Monsanto’s flagship herbicide, dicamba.
The strong political influence of the chemical industry was illustrated perfectly in a recent House Science Committee hearing in which Republican lawmakers questioned the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC)’s classification of glyphosate as a probable carcinogen.
Monsanto – ‘the most hated company in America’ – is not having a good week. A trove of internal corporate documents has now become public, and the contents – which reveal the agrichemical giant’s attempts to cover up the toxicity of Roundup – are nothing short of explosive.

Monsanto’s popular glyphosate-based weed killer, Roundup, may cause cancer—at least in California—where a federal judge denied the multinational seed and chemical corporation’s bid to overturn a 2015 state ruling to label it as a cancer risk.
Under the temporary ruling, Monsanto will be required to label Roundup in accordance the state’s cancer warning, best known as Prop 65, making it the first state to require the label warning on the best-selling herbicide.
It has been rumored for years that Monsanto plans to take over the cannabis industry with genetic engineering just as they’ve taken over the corn and soy industries. Although they have always denied having any intentions to do so, at this point it is unlikely that anybody really believes them. In contrast, many in the cannabis sphere are prepared to resist any kind of GMO takeover of marijuana by Monsanto or any of their cohorts.
