Professor Ben-Joseph speaking to Chris and Rene White from the Native American Church of Virginia: Chris and René White live in beautiful and historic Bluemont. It is located in Northern Virginia, at the crest of the Shenandoah Blue Ridge Mountain, approximately two miles from the Shenandoah River. Both are retired, and involved in a variety of community efforts: outreach, education and spiritual. Their efforts help military veterans, artists of all ages, senior citizens and leaders. Chris is autodidactic in engineering and architectural design. René is a retired military veteran and Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, with 22 years active-duty military service in senior management. They are both of Native American ancestry. René is a Lumbee Indian, and Chris's heritage traces back to the Cherokee Nation. And many other topics of interest.
