China Study author-scientist declares low-carb diet a 'fraud'


One of the authors of The China Study, a well-known research project that evaluated the relationship between nutrition and disease, has come out in condemnation of health advice that recommends reducing or eliminating carbohydrate intake for better health. Dr. T. Colin Campbell, a nutrition scientist, maintains that low-carb diets are a "fraud," and that not eating grains may cause some people to develop cardiovascular disease or even cancer.

The dangerous truth about grains


While it is becoming universally understood that white flour lacks essential nutrients that the human body needs and even promotes disease, the public does not have an adequate understanding of whole grains. We are led to believe that whole grains are a perfectly healthy alternative to refined grains when, in fact, they also present a whole host of dangers to our health.
