Capri Sun drinks harboring mystery bacteria strains, says microbiologist

Kraft's famous juice drink, Capri Sun, is marketed to kids in squeezable, on-the-go pouches, equipped with a fun punch-in straw. Parents are often misled by marketing that praises the drink's healthy fruit juices. According to new findings from microbiologist Kathleen Dannelly from the Indiana State University, Capri Sun drinks may harbor more than just fake juices. Her findings suggest that the Tropical Punch, Roarin' Waters, and Fruit Punch varieties, are harboring at least five unidentified fungus strains.

New Type of Bacteria Reportedly Found in Buried Antarctic Lake

A new type of microbe has been found at a lake buried under Antarctica's thick ice, according to news reports. The find may unveil clues of the surrounding environment in the lake, according to scientists. The bacteria, said to be only 86 percent similar to other types known to exist on Earth, was discovered in a water sample taken from Lake Vostok, which sits under more than 2 miles (3 kilometers) of Antarctic ice.

It is used through inhalation, massage, bath or shower, humidifier or vaporizer, or added to skin and personal care products.

Widespread hospital infections by antibiotic-resistant CRE bacteria prove the danger of U.S. healthcare facilities

A clever opponent attacks precisely where its enemy is most vulnerable, but don't expect it to just stop there. In what may soon become the newest, most fatal consequence in the marriage of conventional medicine and irresponsible, narcissistic technology, an emerging family of drug-resistant bacteria, that's been quietly preying on patients of hospitals and nursing homes for more than a decade, are gaining strength, making headlines and raising concern across the country.

How Bacteria Communicate

The ideal balance between these bacteria is about 85 percent "good" and 15 percent "bad". This ratio is one of the critical factors determining your health, as the good bacteria are essential for...
