HARD ROCK MUSIC CREATES KILLER MICE!

David Merrell, a high school student from Suffolk, Virginia, has won top honors in regional and state science fairs for his experiment involving mice, a maze and hard-rock music.

After establishing a baseline of about 10 minutes for the mice to navigate the maze, David started playing music 10 hours a day, then put the mice through the maze three times a week for three weeks.

CATS:

1.  Pick cat up and cradle it in the crook of your left arm as if  holding a  baby.  Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouth and  gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand.  As cat opens mouth pop pill into mouth.  Allow cat to  close mouth and swallow.

2.  Remove pill from floor and cat from behind sofa.  Cradle cat in left arm and repeat process.

3.  Retrieve cat from bedroom and throw soggy pill away.

Study Reports Increase in Portly Pets

WASHINGTON - For millions of Americans pets are part of the family, and it now appears that tubby tabbies and portly pooches are also sharing the national propensity to be overweight.

As many as 25 percent of pets in the Western world are obese, says the National Research Council, an arm of the National Academies.
