Former Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-R.I.) gets my vote for being the biggest marijuana idiot in the nation. I originally entitled this essay ‘Marijuana Idiots’ but changed the name because of Attorney General Jeff Sessions who would love to continue the war on drugs which is really a terrible war on people.
Kennedy said: “I just don’t know how much sense it makes to try to allow another intoxicating, addicting substance to be sold in the marketplace.”
“Alcohol’s already legal, and there’s no putting that horse back in the barn. Let’s stop this horse from getting out of the barn.”
Lobbyists pushing for the legalization of medical marijuana are trying to sell the public on a “Trojan horse” — making the drug seem more normalized and acceptable in society, though it still has dangerous impacts on minors.
“The public health doesn’t stand a chance in this fight, because we’re up against money that is going to continue to grow as this industry spreads,” Kennedy concedes, likening marijuana proponents to the big tobacco industry.
He points to the FDA-approved medication Marinol, a synthetic form of cannabis, as an alternative to the real thing.
Learn a system of medicine that is safe, simple and affordable! Discover Dr Sircus Natural Allopathic Medicine » “Right now, no one knows what they’re buying — that can be a hazard to public health,” Kennedy says. This politician knows nothing about medicine, which he shows in the clear when he suggests a pharmaceutical synthetic form over the real thing. Marinol is toxic the natural form is not.
“If someone needs the beneficial effects of some component in this plant, then we know what to do. We don’t eat willow bark from a tree, we buy aspirin. We have a process for doing that. It’s called the FDA. The reason we do is we want to protect the public’s health. We’re doing nothing of the sort by just calling it, in a blanket sense, ‘medicine.’”
Patrick, you are correct, they know how to turn the best poisons into medicines with side effects, which are actually their main affects since they are mostly mitochondrial poisons. Protecting the public is not what you or they are about is it.
Most adults now think marijuana is less unhealthy than Miller High Life or Marlboros. By a margin of more than four to one, Americans say that regular tobacco use (76 percent) is a bigger health risk than regular marijuana use (18 percent) — and they say the same thing about alcohol (72 percent vs. 20 percent).
The fact that you do not want it legalized makes you a terrorist and an anti-American one at that. You would continue a war on the American people with a commercial prison system to hold them. You say, “Dangerous if legalized.” Are you blind? Deaf? Can you not hear the 81 percent of Americans who now favor legalization of medical marijuana? Do you have any idea how many children have been helped with medical marijuana? Do you know it saves lives? It is a treatment for cancer!
Watch out for Attorney General Jeff Sessions
Potentially one of the most dangerous man in the world today is Attorney General Jeff Sessions who hopes of reemploying strict enforcement of federal marijuana laws. Ever since he took over the Justice Department, the 70-year-old Sessions, an unrepentant drug warrior, has made clear his disdain for pot. “I don’t think America is going to be a better place when people of all ages, and particularly young people, are smoking pot,” he told reporters in February shortly after being sworn in.
Why President Trump placed this man in such a responsible position is beyond the pale. Does he actually want the American public to suffer more than it already does? Even mothers who are suffering from postpartum depression benefit from medical marijuana. The stories and testimonies of how marijuana benefits children and adults is a mile long yet fascists just do not get it and want to maintain the venire of their mean spirits.
Zero Hedge writes, “The federal ban on cannabis is one of those policies which make living in America feel like the dark ages. It wastes tax dollars with enforcement, and it tramples states’ rights to make their own laws. Worst of all though, it threatens legal businesses in states which are pot friendly and threatens the life, liberty, and property of countless individuals who harm no one while using marijuana for recreational or medical purposes.”
Here is a review of my Medical Marijuana book:
In "Healing with Medical Marijuana: Getting Beyond the Smoke and Mirrors” he asks his readers to imagine that there is an effective treatment for dozens of serious ailments ranging from cancer and Parkinson’s disease, to headaches, to depression. Then imagine that the government is preventing them from using it because it is derived from a controversial herb.
Cannabis, more commonly called marijuana, is still looked upon by many people as a social evil; yet, scientific evidence clearly shows the compounds it contains can reduce, halt, and in many cases, reverse some of our most serious health conditions. In “Healing with Medical Marijuana”, Dr. Sircus has written a clear guide to understanding the power of the cannabis plant in combating numerous disorders.
Critique: Exceptionally well researched, written, organized and presented, “Healing with Medical Marijuana: Getting Beyond the Smoke and Mirrors” is a timely and informative contribution to the on-going national discussion which has seen more and more states are now legalizing medical marijuana as a safe and effective treatment method. Especially recommended reading for those who may be unable to obtain medical marijuana to treat their individual conditions in their particular state of residence, “Healing with Medical Marijuana” is specifically designed to provide options that can offer the much-needed help they are seeking. Simply stated, “Healing with Medical Marijuana” is unreservedly recommended for personal reading lists, as well as community and academic library Medical Marijuana reference collections.
